Situated on a peninsular directly on Canandaigua Lake in peaceful Upstate New York this home boasts majestic panoramic views from every main room. The Cottage is situated on the East Side about 8 miles south of the beautiful Historical Town of Canandaigua. Inside or out, you are literally steps from the crystal clear lake.
  This single story house is perfect for small children or people with limited mobility. The entire lakeside of the great room area is French glass windows overlooking the lake. This room faces west, so if you leave special time in the early evening you will be treated to gorgeous sunsets across the lake and the Bristol Hills. Renovated in 2007 this 2000 sq ft cottage is a perfect vacation home with all the modern facilities you will be looking for including central air conditioning.
The open plan living area has a color TV with VCR and DVD. There is no cable or Internet but the Town of Canandaigua offers free wifi in many coffee shops and restaurants. The home has a small stereo player. A highlight of the living area is the comfy seating for 6 including a queen sleeper sofa and a beautiful decorative (only) fireplace. The area is separated from the kitchen by a large family antique wood dining table with seating for 8, many happy meals and memories have been shared and it also provides plenty of room to play games or spend some time doing some arts and crafts. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size stove and refrigerator, as well as a microwave oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, and an abundance of all basic cooking as well as serving utensils. A central island gives plenty of working space to entertain. Games, puzzles, cards, etc. are ready for the kids
The master bedroom featuring a queen-size bed has a picture window overlooking the lake. Relax while listening to the sound of waves lapping the shore. This is the perfect spot to catch a spectacular moon rise across the lake on a clear night. The second bedroom has a double bed and a dresser. Bedroom 3 has 1 set of bunk beds and a single bed. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have storage space for your personal things. The furnishings are "cottage " casual but comfortable. A full bathroom with tub, shower in a separate room with a washer dryer makes this a perfect family vacation home. Renters are asked to bring their own sheets and towels. Plenty of pillows and blankets are available. Linen/towel service may be arranged if desired at an extra charge, or if you will be flying instead of driving. Beach towels are not provided
From the kitchen area a sunroom with conservatory seating for 6 has a panoramic view up the lake towards the town, perfect to watch the lake activities or to sit and read a book quietly enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
The location, views and setting of this wonderful cottage are one of the best on the lake. With 130ft of lake frontage and a shelving beach to beautiful clear water it is perfect for children, elderly, less mobile, swimmers, fishermen and the whole family to be part of the lake vacation experience. There is a level manicured lawn with a large patio, which has a table, comfortable outdoor furniture and a charcoal grill. The entire property is beautifully planted with flowers. Don't be surprised if a duck shows up on the dock!
If you love the water and water sports this is the home for you. It comes with Boat Hoist (under 22ft capacity) for your boat, a mooring buoy, Rowboat, kayak and a paddleboat all for your personal enjoyment.
For your safety there are some life jackets and a slow safe 5mph-swimming buoy.
There is a marina one block away if you want to rent a boat on a daily "as you go" basis. The home is 8 miles from the town beach and park, which is a great spot for swimming, picnics, etc. There is a lifeguard on duty at the beach. There is also a children's playground at the park.   
The town also has several antique and specialty shops. There are several family restaurants with bars. You can also walk in the surrounding hills and trails for fabulous views of the lake. This Canandaigua Lake offers a four-season paradise! Skiing in the winter, spend the spring and summer on the lake swimming, boating, and water-skiing. Fish for Bass, Lake Trout and Landlocked Salmon. Enjoy spectacular fall foliage. History, scenery, hiking, art, antiquing, museums and shopping are all nearby, while you enjoy the peace and serenity of the Finger Lakes region. We are about 20 minutes from Finger Lakes Gaming and casino, famous for horse racing. Niagara Falls are a scenic one and half drive! Canandaigua Town is 10 minutes away, with several churches, Roseland Water Park for the children, wineries, grocery and large store shopping and lake cruises on the Canandaigua lady our paddle ship
